These were served at the launch to delighted trendsetters celebrating the perfect marriage of sweet, and bubbles in Rosebank Keyes Art Mile. The star of the show in an evening filled with sublime temptations was the delectable AFRIKOA chocolate.
The chocolate is made from the finest single origin cocoa beans sourced from Tanzanian farmers and sent to Cape Town where a team of chocolate makers turn them into four unique flavors.
AFRIKOA specialist Chocolate Maker, Antonino Allegra, whose award-winning chocolates are created through inspiration drawn from both his home, Italy, and adopted home, South Africa, says: “By trading directly with the farmers, AFRIKOA is guaranteed the finest-quality cocoa beans. At the same time, we engage in direct trade practices that ensure the cocoa farmers earn a sustainable income.”
AFRIKOA Chocolate and its partner Pan Africa & Global, have worked tirelessly to create a destination for all chocolate lovers in Johannesburg. That goal has been achieved through the Rosebank concept store.
The African brand, Afrikoa chocolate, draws inspiration from African Fashion, Music and Lifestyle and is synonymous with sumptuous African Luxury. This has been extended to AFRIKOA Café, designed to fit into the concept of African excellence.
The café, the first of seven expected to open in the near future, will have a unique menu designed by Chef PatissierLaettia Van Waeyenberge. Her inimitable chocolate creations, made with AFRIKOA chocolate, will tempt and titillate the most discerning palates. Along with a world-class coffee selection, the Café will elevate the chocolate experience by offering French Champagnes.
Masego “Maps” Maponyane, renowned South African actor and television personality, was the Master of Ceremonies at the glittering function attended by South Africa’s cognoscenti.
AFRIKOA Café opened to the public on the 12th February 2019
