Amanda Black, Zahara, Nathi and Amanda Mankaya join Billy Ocean, Salif Keita during the most savvy, trending and live event in Africa.  The Hamptons Jazz festival attracts thousands of South Africans, traveling to Botswana for the festival.

 The Hamptons now in its 5th year will take place on Saturday the 24th of March 2018 at Duma Grounds, Gaborone Botswana. The Festival will feature different performances from iconic and emerging jazz artists. The Festival is the brainchild of Debbie Makabe Smith and Starr Ngwenya.

The Hamptons Jazz Festival takes place annually. Each year, The Hamptons Jazz festival sees a variety of Jazz musicians, well appreciated by the local and the travelling discerning from South Africa and abroad. Jazz patrons come together for a LIVE performance.  In addition Botswana acts will include.

 “ AmaZulu, The heavens will open. I can’t wait to see you, this is my first time performing in Botswana, I had fans tweeting me and I can’t believe its happen, this is big to me as I have been wanting to cross the border and share my music. ” says excited Amanda Black.

Envisage exquisite green grounds, sun shining, fans with camp chairs all over, laid back atmosphere, whilst you simultaneously learn about the history of the local and international music you are also listening to; or if you know it, just reminisce in the yester years. Hamptons Jazz Festival offers a carnival of sensations.

Some of Botswana’s finest billed musos are Socca Moruakgomo, Nnunu Ramogotsi, Thabang Gaorogwe, Shanti Lo, ATI, Thato Jessica, Ndingo Johwa, Djs Jazzy Pete and Bush.

Hamptons Jazz Fest only specialize in live events, aiming to captivate the mature, savvy Jazz audience who appreciate an open-air Jazz atmosphere. This annual gathering has become more of a reunion, a movement – a celebration with friends, family, culture and music.
