After the third sold out Bassline Live Series at The Lyric Theatre, the next exciting event is set for Saturday 5th October 2019 with AN INTIMATE NIGHT WITH VUSI NOVA with support acts 047 & Bongane_Sax.

Set to be a night to remember, Vusi Nova will present a retrospective of songs from his range of albums, including from “Naninina” released in 2016. This album, that reached platinum status just 5 months after its release date and currently is a double platinum status album, won Best Afro Pop Album at the South African Music Awards 2017, and made the nation fall in love with him through its heart-breaking songs.

Vusi Nova will also perform “As’phelelanga”, the song that fast became South Africa’s anthem, soon after the performance on South African Idols went viral. These are just some of the well-known and loved favourites to look forward to in this magical evening.

Vusi Nova will also perform his most recently released single “Ewe” which features 047 who will join him live on stage for a truly memorable performance.

He will also showcase his new track that he features on with ONESIMUS – BABA GOD.

047, the exciting Afropop trio from Mthatha, will also open the night. The group leaped into the spotlight about two years ago after they were discovered and groomed by Vusi Nova. 047 recently received the Grahamstown Standing Ovation Award – for their 2nd Night’s Performance at National Arts Festival 2019. For 047 to share the stage at the Lyric Theatre with Vusi Nova will truly be a magical experience

Bongane_Sax, the remarkably talented saxophonist recently released his second album on which he also collaborates with Vusi Nova and 047. A self-taught saxophonist, Bongane_Sax started playing the clarinet without any formal training and has gone on to massive success with his renditions of classic South African songs as well as his own original music.
