The annual African Fashion International (AFI) Joburg Fashion Week 2018 officially started last night. Local designers such as Rich Factory and Khosi Nkosi showed off their collections. Celebs such as Nomzamo Mbatha, Khanya Mkangisa, Tumi Voster and Dineo Moeketsi hit the runway to show off the collections.
In other news….Nomzamo also joins an elite club of South Africans that have had a rose named after them, sharing this honour with Nobel laureates Nelson Mandela and Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu. The South African bred salmon-apricot coloured rose is in celebration of her achievements.
The AFI continues today line up…Tshwane University of Tchnology Fashion show at 15:30 , followed by AFI Prive, La Art Neviole Emporium ,with 5-Knot from Japan, MaXhosa, Presidential and ends with Clan and Deola Sagoe from Nigeria.
