Potchefstroom set to come to a complete standstill on the 30th November 2019 for the 5th edition of the Annual Cheers Closing Party. For this one day it doesn’t matter where one works or what they do for a living. Tlokwe comes together and hosts one big shutdown party for all of its working class; be it in retail, banking, food outlets, security a collective of all companies are able to all come together and host one big year end function.
Annual Cheers Closing Party is an event that incorporates Musical performance from the most trending artists. This year hosting the likes of Nokwazi, Tshego, Mlindo the Vocalist headlined by Monique Bingham from the US just to name a few. Actor appearances from some of the most recognised faces in television get to hangout and rub shoulders with masses on this particular day. Incorporated this year are Cedric Fourie ‘Lehasa’ from Skeem Saam, Jesse Suntelle ‘Mzi’ from Rhythm city, Eric Macheru ‘Leeto’ from Skeem Saam and Omuhle Gela will be some of the celebrities set on hanging out and entertaining guests. We would like to make it a dream come true for some of the most hardworking, upright citizens of the Northwest, we do not just target Potchefstroom but we attract an audience from all our surrounding towns in a 100KM radius.
We ensure that companies bring their staff in groups and they get secluded seating to enjoy the event together. Tall Ass Mo will be hosting the Gaming Zone this year. Material Culture will be making a showcase to promote the Skhothane Lifestyle. We are excited to be hosting 5 aside Games for our groups, Beer gardens powered by Budweiser which will also have activities like beer games, basketball and air hockey to keep the revellers entertained throughout.
Our VIP lounges will be different and brand specific say Hennessy Lounge, Hendricks Gin lounge and Budweiser Beer Gardens are some of our attractions for the day something our revellers can really look out for. GKLM events group does not just host this event as a form of entertainment but on the day they use over 20 different service providers all of which are local businesses in Sanitation, Photography, Catering, Promotions and Vendors. They employ an added 240 staff members working in 150 security personnel, 40 janitors the rest being management, production and technical services. ‘Skills development and building an entrepreneurial spirit amongst our people is something that gives what we do purpose.
